Marketing. Love it or hate it, you have to do it.
So many entrepreneurs don’t enjoy marketing because they think it’s complicated. Or time consuming. Or costly. Or all pitch-pitch-pitch, slinging buckets of crap at the wall and praying something sticks.
Not. True.
It’s time to bring marketing back down to earth.
Grassroots Marketing is about people. Connect with your customers. Build relationships. Grow your business. It’s the same way our grandfathers did business, with a cup of coffee and a handshake. The only difference is today we use fancier cups and serve really good coffee.
I’m Patricia Simoneau. More than 80% of my clients are small-town, farm- or ranch-based entrepreneurs who have built their businesses from the ground up. Some are start-ups, some have been around for decades, and some have multiple businesses. Some are organizations that need someone to take the reins for them.
They are folks like you, small business owners who are too busy to learn everything there is to know about marketing, let alone make the time to get it all done.
It’s MY job to help my clients grow their businesses by making marketing manageable. Without all the hype.
Want to know another little secret about this marketing stuff?
One of the easiest ways to accomplish marketing objectives is with a brand that can shine on the world stage.
Branding is a passion for me, and it becomes more of a passion the deeper I dig into it. All the textbooks out there will academically examine brand awareness, equity and value… and that’s all very important. But as a solo entrepreneur, it goes way, WAY deeper. It gets personal. Sometimes, very personal.
It’s rather convoluted: Your brand is all about you – who you are and what you are about. At the same time, it’s not what you say you are. It’s what OTHERS say you are.
Come again?
That’s the confusing part. And I know exactly why you are confused. I spent the first five years of my business confused. I still get a little puzzled now and then, but that’s all part of the growing.
So if you want to clear up your confusion – and not confuse your customers – you’ve come to the right place.
